The Firm's Criminal Department continues to thrive with a growing reputation for handling homicide cases in the last 6 months we have been defending an unprecedented 6 cases, 3 of which are murder and 3 manslaughter.
Working closely with very senior Queen's Counsel, other counsel and renowned expert witnesses, the department has attracted a number of often high-profile murder cases over the last few years and now has the reputation as one of the leading serious crime practices in the North-West. There have been days recently when the firm has had 2 homicide cases listed before the top judge at Manchester Crown Court, namely the Recorder of Manchester. There is little doubt that the hard work of the Fee-earners handling these specialist cases has enhanced the firm's reputation and attracted other similar cases. Counsel have complemented the caseworkers in respect of the very high-level of preparation and tenacity demonstrated in preparing these cases.
