Susan obtained a Scottish Law degree and was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 1981 working in a Glasgow City Centre practice where she became an equity Partner in 1983. In 1993 she relocated to Chester and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1994.
Susan joined Russell & Russell in 2000, becoming a salaried partner in 2003 and equity partner in 2004.
Susan specialises in all areas of family law and is an accredited Member of Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association) and a member of the Cheshire Collaborative Family Law Group. She has a particular specialism in public law care cases and high value financial disputes on divorce/separation. As a member of the Law Society's Children Panel she is authorised to represent parents and children in public law care proceedings.
For relaxation she enjoys eating out, entertaining friends, yoga and playing bridge. She particularly enjoys her family, walking the dog and reading books by the sea
