PETER LEATHER ( Crime Partner )
Peter is an equity partner in our criminal defence team and head of the Magistrates Court department. He graduated with an LLB (Hons) Law degree which he obtained from the University of East Anglia in 1983, before going on to complete his Law Society Finals in 1984 at Guildford Law School. He joined Russell & Russell in 1984 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1986.
As well as being a Duty Solicitor, Peter is responsible for all aspects of Advocacy in the Magistrates Court, including road traffic law, health and safety law and domestic violence. His biggest achievement at Russell & Russell is the sustained delivery of high quality Advocacy at local Magistrates Courts to ensure that every client gets the best possible outcome.
In his spare time Peter enjoy s regular high-level fell walking with his wife, flat-coated retriever and circle of friends. He plays squash during the winter months and golf in the summer as well as being a keen cyclist. He is also a supporter and sponsor the Old Boltonians Association.
